Office Tip |
|
How do I get other people in my office to be better organized?
1. Lead by example. You can't expect people who work with you to be organized if you aren't organized yourself. Set a good example by having a clean desk, making To Do Lists, and setting goals for the following week.
2. Give encouragement for the little things. Really take time to notice the good qualities of your coworkers and be genuine with your compliments.
3. Share your feelings and goals with your coworkers and friends. The best therapy sessions generate themselves. Let a coworker know how his/her office appearance makes you feel. If you don't feel comfortable talking with a certain person, talk to Human Resources. Bounce ideas off each other and the solution may fall right in your lap!

Storage Tip |
|
I buy boxes and bins, but don’t know what to do with them.
1. Let’s Be Clear. Buying bins and organizing products is a great start to every organizing adventure. Make sure your bins are transparent. This will safeguard you against unnecessarily opening and closing the wrong bins.
2. The Name of the Game. If you don’t have clear bins, invest in labels and a marker to tag your bins with their contents. Some labels are even reusable and are easily reapplied, should you decide to trash or switch out bins.
3. Size Matters. Measure your storage space for Height, Width, and Depth and make notes. These measurements will allow you to find perfectly sized containers for your space. Also, store light loads; tubs may become too heavy for you to lift. Pick containers that are short and stackable.
